“Heart & Soul Music Festival Announces the 2023 Music Lineup”

                             ORLANDO, FL – May 4, 2023 – Following the success of the 2^nd Annual Heart & Soul Music Festival, which attracted a crowd of over 4,000 attendees, this year’s festival will return on Saturday, October 14, at the Apopka Amphitheater with more live performances and festivities. “The Heart & Soul Music Festival is a hybrid experience of both the arts and community connection, facilitating social interaction not only within attendees and existing social groups, but also social interactions across demographic boundaries,” said Heart & Soul Fest Assistant Producer Thomas Bonds. “Our goal for Heart & Soul is to unite our communities and celebrate our history with entertainment, education, art, and food. We are hoping to strengthen business relationships, instill a sense of community pride, and attract visitors to Central Florida.”

Since its founding in 2020, Heart & Soul has become a can’t-miss event celebrating African American culture with its star-studded music lineups, vendors, health screenings, and educational resources. Apopka’s largest urban music festival organizers are excited to announce this year’s lineup consisting of Grammy award-winning artists and all-star bands such as Stephanie Mills, Atlantic Starr, Lakeside, Kenny Lattimore, and Raheem DeVaughn. “The integrity of the Heart & Soul experience is very important,” said Heart & Soul Fest Producer Paul Billings. “We strive to create a unique experience you wouldn’t normally get at a festival. This is an opportunity for our audience to unite over their passion for music and culture.”

With one of the most distinctive voices in music history, Grammy award-winning recording artist and actress Stephanie Mills will headline the 3^rd Annual Heart & Soul Music Festival. With a career that spans more than 30 years and ten Billboard #1 singles, Mills will have the crowd singing along to her best-selling hits including “Something in the Way You Make Me Feel,” “I Feel Good All Over,” “I Have Learned to Respect the Power of Love,” “Never Knew Love Like This Before,” and “Home.”  Also headlining, Atlantic Starr, a guaranteed crowd-pleaser. Known for their classic hits and extensive catalog, the band will hit the stage with their most memorable songs like “Secret Lovers”, “Always”, “Circles”, and “Masterpiece.”

Best known for their #1 hit, “Fantastic Voyage,” Lakeside invites you on a trip down memory lane with their classic jams “It’s All the Way Live,” “Your Love is on the One,” and “Outrageous.”  Lakeside has become a crowd favorite on concert stages throughout the country. “Modern Soul Man,” Kenny Lattimore’s music and ballads have captivated his fans. The talented, Grammy-nominated vocalist, reminds us what love is all about with hits including, “Never Too Busy,” “Weekend,” “Days Like This,” and the wedding staple “For You.” Three-time Grammy nominee Raheem DeVaughn rounds out the 2023 lineup with hit singles “Guess Who Loves You More,” “You,” “Customer,” and the unforgettable powerful tribute “Woman.”
